Bunnie's essential seasonings, spices, and herbs in my kitchen cabinet. Seasonings enhance the natural flavors of food through cooking and baking. The balance of flavors elevate the aromas of the cuisine that is made with love. Seasonings consist of herbs, salts, and spices. In my kitchen I mostly prepare American, Latino, and European based cuisines.
Herbs are the leafy, green parts derived from the plant. Fresh herbs can be used as a garnish. I like using dry herbs for cooking. Spices are obtained from fruit seeds, roots, and barks. They offer health benefits as a preservative to reduce inflammation. Salts can be extracted from minerals or deposit evaporated sea water. Cuisines of seasonings in your kitchen may vary depend on what type of meal you prepare. Fresh markets are a fun place to shop if you like a variety of authentic spices & herbs.

Nutritional yeast flakes are perfect to use for a cheese substitute. Dried yeast flakes can be yellow or white depending on the brand. Love using this for mac and cheese recipes. I recommend the "Bragg" brand. Great source of fiber and Vitamin B.
Umami mushroom seasoning from "Pure Kitchen" is a must have. Ingredient list is sea salt, onion powder, ground yellow mustard seed, porcini mushroom powder, white button mushroom powder, spices, red chile pepper flakes. The blend of mushrooms in this seasoning makes my food even more gourmet with its earthy flavors.
