Steamed Pumpkin Bao Buns With BBQ Mushroom Recipe. One of a kind formulated recipe by Bunnie's Kitchen. Must make autumn recipe that is refreshing. Despite the time constraints of prepping steps, these mini gua baos are a perfect meal for the end of the season! Gua Bao originated from a province in China. "Gua Bao" in Taiwanese means "Cut - Open Bun". A fluffy, semi circular shape. Traditionally made with pork, I substituted the meat for white bella mushrooms. Loved using the vegan bourbon bbq marinade for my base. Steady simmer the mushrooms when stove top gets shut off.
