Vegan Portobello Mushroom Sandwich Recipe. Air fried seasoned portobello mushrooms. It is a common substitute for meat in plant based dishes. The caps of the portobello mushroom have a savory, rich earthy flavor. I used a vegan bourbon bbq sauce to add a smokey and glazed taste. Toasted sourdough bread adds the perfect crunch to this sandwich. My alluring plant based recipe is mouth - watering! Don't forget to chop the stem. Washing the mushrooms thoroughly with water to rinse off any leftover soil. Vegan portobello mushroom sandwich will taste like paradise!

  • 2 Portobello Mushrooms

  • 4 Sourdough Bread Slices

  • 1 Roma Tomato

  • 1/2 Yellow Onion

  • 1/2 Stick Vegan Butter

  • 1-2 Tbsp Red Roasted Pepper Hummus

  • 1/2 Tbsp Olive Oil

  • 1/2 Tbsp Red Wine Vinegar

  • 1- 2 Tbsp BBQ Sauce (Vegan)

Seasoning

  • 1/4 Tsp Salt

  • 1/2 Tsp Garlic Powder

  • 1/2 Tsp Paprika


Homemade Pesto

  • 1/4 Cup Olive Oil

  • 1 Garlic Clove

  • Fresh Basil

  • 1/4 Tsp Salt
