Blue Oyster Mushrooms grow in a "cluster" and are high in antioxidants! They have a down to earthy flavor that intakes any culinary flavors. Oyster mushrooms are a fibrous super food that can provide anti-inflammatory benefits. To clean the mushrooms, water the paper towel and pat dry. Do not rinse mushrooms under water because it will absorb and will not be as crispy. Preparing your "buttermilk" mixture mix the milk and vinegar to sit for about 5 minutes. Pure crunchy oyster sandwich recipe is the bomb!

Ingredients:



  • Sliced Bread (Store Bought or Homemade)

  • 1/4 Cup Alfalfa Sprouts

  • 3 Thin Sliced Tomatoes

  • 1/2 Package Blue Oyster Mushroom

  • 2 inches Vegetable Oil (Frying)


Sauce:

  • 1/2 Tsp Lemon

  • 2-3 Tbsp Vegan Mayonnaise

  • 1 Tbsp Sweet & Sour Sauce

  • 1 Tsp Soy Sauce


Batter:

  • Buttermilk: 1 Cup Milk (Almond), 1 Tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar

  • 1/2 Cup Flour

  • 2-3 Tbsp Corn Starch

  • 1.5 Tsp Garlic Powder

  • 1.5 Tsp Onion Powder

  • 1.5 Tsp Paprika

  • 2 Tsp Salt
