Fried Vegan Beef-less Empanadas! I love this as a savory snack or lunch / dinner recipe. No lime featured in this picture; but add lime for an acidic finish. Empanadas have history dating back to Spain. My own version of the traditional South American empanada dish. "To Wrap or Coat In Bread". Prep and cook the beef-less seasoning for about 15 minutes. Vegetables will be tender but crispy. Fry each empanada for about 4 minutes total : 2-3 minutes per side. TIP! Sometimes I like to refrigerate my empanadas before frying. 1/2 Small Diced Yellow Onion
1/4 Small Diced Orange Pepper
1/2 Diced Tomato
1 Pack Goya Empanada Wrappers
1/4 Cup Vegetable Oil
Seasonings:
1/2 Tsp Cumin
1/2 Tsp Oregano
1/2 Tbsp Garlic Powder
1 Tbsp Adobo Seasoning
Sprinkle Salt
