Vegetarian Mushroom French Dip Sandwich With Au Jus Recipe! Popular meaty sandwich filled with mushroom instead of beef. Mushroom au jus vegetable stock tastes even better than beef gravy. This classic french dip sandwich needs to be served at your next lunch or dinner at home! Sautee the onions & yellow pepper for about 20 minutes until golden brown. The flavoring from the vegetables will be the base for the au jus dip. Vegan substitution is to use vegan shredded cheese. The Sweet Hawaiian Rolls are already Vegan, as they are made of wheat. I used 1 teaspoon of corn starch to thicken the mushroom au jus dip.

Ingredients:



  • 1 Box Brown Baby Bell Mushrooms

  • 1/2 Diced Yellow Pepper

  • 1 Cup Vegetable Stock

  • 1 Cup Shredded Cheese (Mexican)

  • 1 Pack Sweet Hawaiian Rolls

  • 1 Julienne Yellow Onion

  • 3 Tbsp Vegetable Oil

  • 1/2 Tbsp Salt

  • 1 Tsp Corn Starch


Seasoning

  • 1/2 Tbsp Garlic Powder

  • 1/2 Tbsp Salt

  • 1/2 Stick Butter (Vegan)

  • 1 Tbsp Nutritional Yeast


Topped Seasoning

  • 1/2 Stick Melted Butter (Vegan)

  • 1/2 Tbsp Nutritional Yeast

  • 1/4 Tsp Garlic Powder

  • 1/4 Tsp Nutmeg

  • 1/8 Tsp Black Pepper

  • 2 Tbsp Sprinkle Shredded Cheese
