Brazilian Empadão De Frango - Chicken Pot Pie Recipe. Traditional, savory pie made with easy ingredients and a creamy sauce. Empadinhas are a mini pot pie which I made, along with a rectangle family style platter. Preferred to make with requeijão, which is a Brazilian cream cheese; can substitute with regular cream cheese. Served over rice and potato fries for a nice crunch. Tart can be filled with chicken, tuna, vegetables, or red meat. This crust is puffy and buttery. Enjoy this delicious recipe for lunch, dinner or a snack. I recommend to sit at room temperature for 15 minutes before slicing.

Ingredients:
*Mini Springform Pan, Rectangle Pan
Dough for Crust : * Double for Large Pan
2 Cups Flour
1 Tsp Baking Soda
1/2 Cup Butter
1 Egg Yolk
1 Tsp Salt
2-3 Tbsp Water
Egg Wash (Brush Top Pie)
Chicken Filling:
4 Cups Cooked Shredded Chicken
3 Tbsp Olive Oil
3/4 Cup Small Diced Green Bell Pepper
2 Cups Brazilian Requeijão / 2 Packages Cream Cheese
3/4 Cup Tomato Sauce
7 Garlic Cloves
1 Cup Media Cream or Milk
*Optional 2 Tbsp Diced Green Olives
Seasonings:
3 Tsp Salt
1 Tbsp Oregano
1 Tbsp Garlic Powder
3 Tsp Paprika
2 Tsp Black Pepper
