Winter Butternut Squash & Potato Gratin Recipe. Easy recipe for a cold winter day! The plating itself is beautifully scalloped and crisp. Gratin in French "to broil"; light browned crust of cheese, butter, or breadcrumbs. Butternut squash and potatoes are thin sliced around 1/4 inch. Substitution cheeses instead of goat cheese are gruyere or manchego. Beer cream cheese came from one of my other personal recipe click here. I was inspired by a friend who made a similar dish with gruyere cheese for a holiday party. Don't forget to cover with aluminum foil! Hope you will enjoy this cheesy, warm dish.
